Pregnancy, Postpartum, and Pelvic Floor Therapy
Occupational therapy at Super Human Therapy helps people return to the activities that make up everyday life. For many people, pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and pelvic floor dysfunction can make simple tasks like lifting a baby, exercising, going to the bathroom, or having comfortable intimacy feel difficult or painful.
Dr. Charlie Watts, OTD, OTR/L provides pelvic health occupational therapy with a focus on pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and pelvic floor rehabilitation for all genders.
Through a combination of manual therapy, movement retraining, and nervous system support, occupational therapy helps restore strength, coordination, and confidence in your body.
What is Pelvic Health Occupational Therapy?
Pelvic health occupational therapy focuses on how the pelvic floor, core, breath, and nervous system work together to support everyday activities.
We look at how your body functions during real life activities like:
• lifting and carrying your baby
• exercising and returning to fitness
• bladder and bowel function
• intimacy and sexual health
• sitting, standing, and walking comfortably
• core stability and posture
By addressing these systems together, pelvic floor therapy helps patients reduce pain, improve bladder and bowel control, and rebuild strength after pregnancy or injury. We treat the following conditions:
Pregnancy pelvic pain
Postpartum recovery and rehabilitation
Diastasis recti (abdominal separation)
Urinary leakage or incontinence
Urinary urgency and frequency
Pelvic pain and pelvic floor tension
Pain with intercourse
Pelvic organ prolapse
Tailbone pain
Pubic symphysis pain
C-section scar recovery
Perineal tear scar pain
Core weakness and instability
